Loggerhead Babies in a Bucket

Sorry if the quality of this photo is sub-par, was taken with my phone on the job. I work with a sea turtle monitoring program now. As part of my job we do excavations on nests a few days after they have hatched to get data on nest size and hatching success. Sometimes a few babies stay behind in the nest for one reason or another so when we find them we hold onto them during the day and do controlled releases at night.
